Dimitra (Mimi) Petropoulou-Dimitraki was born in Athens and is a graduate of both: Doxiades Art School, 1963-1966, and the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA), 1967-1973, where as a scholarship recipient in color woodcuts she majored in engraving under Professor C. Grammatopoulos .
She has taught art history and design at the Anavrita High School, has served as proctor/evaluator at the panhellenic Univercity entrance exams for drawing, has participated in the Educational Programs of the Laskaridi Foundation and has published a variety of articles on education and the fine arts; she is also a member or the Fine Arts Chamber of Greece and the Greek Printmakers Association.
Mimi has shown her work in four solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions both in Greece and abroad, the last one abroad being the International Biennale for Miniature Graphics at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (2011).
Her work is found in private collections, the National Gallery of Greece, the Vorre Museum, the Naval Ministry and the Athens City Hall.
